Professor Abu Ahmed, former chairman of the Economics Department of the University of Dhaka, has been appointed as the chairman of the state-run Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) for the next three years.
The Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.
Prof Ahmed will replace Dr Subarna Barua, who resigned on Tuesday citing personal reasons. Prof Abu Ahmed will join ICB as the new chairman next Monday.
