Pubali Bank donates 5m to Gonoshasthaya Kendra

Alongside its significant contribution to the national economy, Pubali Bank PLC remains committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities, particularly in the health sector.

As part of this commitment, the bank has extended a financial donation of Tk 5 million (50 Lac) Gonoshasthaya Kendra, according to a press release.

Mohammad Ali, managing director and CEO of Pubali Bank PLC formally handed over the payment order to Shireen Parveen Huq, Chairperson of Gonoshasthaya Kendra recently in a modest ceremony held at the bank’s head office.

Deputy managing directors Mohammad Esha and Ahmed Enayet Manzur were also present at the event alongwith other senior executives of the bank and Monika Rani Sarker, Director (Finance) of Gonoshasthaya Kendra.

Since its founding in 1972, Gonoshasthaya Kendra has been operating as a charitable trust dedicated to providing quality and affordable healthcare to the general public.

Its Gonoshasthaya Dialysis Center is the largest kidney treatment facility in the country, currently serving an average of 250–270 patients per day.

The center operates uninterruptedly in four shifts, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Pubali Bank is the largest private commercial bank in Bangladesh, with 509 branches and 235 sub-branches across the country.

In addition to its core banking services, the bank has long been engaged in various social development initiatives, including education, healthcare, environment, and disaster management.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Ali, Managing Director of Pubali Bank PLC, stated, “We believe in contributing not only to the financial sector but also to social welfare initiatives. Healthcare is a fundamental right, and we are proud to be able to support this vital sector.”
