Pubali Bank holds seminar on expansion of `Cashless Bangladesh Udjog’ programme

Pubali Bank PLC organised a seminar on the expansion of `Cashless Bangladesh Udjog’ program under the initiative of Bangladesh Bank in Rangpur, held at Rangpur Shilpakala Auditorium.
Pubali Bank PLC was the lead bank of this seminar. The seminar discussed in detail the expansion of cashless transactions, the importance of digital payment systems and the potential of modern banking services, according to a press release.
Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director and Spokesperson of Bangladesh Bank, was present as Chief Guest at the event. Md. Ali Mahmud, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Rangpur Office; Mohammad Ali, Managing Director and CEO of Pubali Bank PLC; Rangpur Additional Deputy Commissioner Christopher Himel Richil and Emdadul Hossain, President of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries were present as Special Guests. The event was presided over by Rafeza Akhtar Kanta, Director (Payment Systems Division), Bangladesh Bank Head Office. Md. Shahnewaz Khan, Deputy Managing Director of Pubali Bank; Md. Faizul Hoque Sharif, General Manager of General Banking and Operation Division; Md. Rabiul Alam, Deputy General Manager and Head of ADC Division, Mohammad Altab Hossain, Regional Head and Deputy General Manager of Rangpur Region, Bangladesh Bank officials, branch managers of government and private commercial banks in Rangpur district, officials of Regional Mobile Financial Service (RMFS), representatives of the Rangpur region's traders and merchants' association were also present at the seminar. A colorful rally, seminar and banking campaign were held in Rangpur on the occasion of the Campaign.
Chief Guest Arif Hossain Khan, Executive Director and Spokesperson of Bangladesh Bank said that transparency, efficiency and security in transactions will be ensured in the country's economy through the implementation of the 'Cashless Bangladesh' initiative.
