RAKUB gets new MD

Niranjan Chandra Debnath has recently joined Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) as Managing Director (MD).

Prior to joining RAKUB, Mr Debnath served Sonali Bank Limited as Deputy Managing Director. He also worked with BASIC Bank Limited as Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), said a press release.

He started his career with BASIC Bank Limited in 1997 as Assistant Manager. During his long banking career, he worked at different branches and various divisions at head office of BASIC Bank Limited at different capacities.

Mr Debnath completed Master’s of Commerce in Accounting from Chattogram University. He is a Professional Accountant, a fellow (FCMA) of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh. He also achieved CMA from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. Besides, he obtained DAIBB from IBB. He also took part in different training programs and seminars at home and abroad.
