Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail took over as the new chairman of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) on Tuesday, says a press release.
He replaced outgoing chairman Rear Admiral M Shahjahan.
Prior to his new assignment, Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail had been serving as the chairman of Payra Port Authority.
Rear Admiral Moha-mmad Sohail was commissioned in the executive branch of the Bangladesh Navy on January 01 in 1988.
After being commissioned, he participated in different professional training programmes at home and abroad.
As an anti-submarine warfare specialist officer, he has immense contribution to the Bangladesh Navy. He was awarded the OSP and NUP medals by the Navy for his outstanding service and contributions.
Rear Admiral Moha-mmad Sohail also carried out responsibilities in the United Nations Mission in Sudan.
