Regional Business Conference of National Bank held in Chattogram

National Bank PLC organised its Regional Business Conference in Chattogram on Wednesday, August 13.

The event took place at the conference hall of Ambrosia Restaurant, with the bank’s Managing Director, Mr. Adil Chowdhury, attending as the Chief Guest, according to a press release. 

Among others, Deputy Managing Director Mr. Syed Rois Uddin, Deputy Managing Director (In-Charge) Mr. Md. Meshkat-ul-Anwar Khan, Senior Vice President & Regional Manager (Chattogram) Mr. A.S.M. Helal Uddin, Senior Vice President Mr. Mohammad Towhidul Karim, along with branch managers of 19 branches in the Chattogram region, corporate branch managers, operations managers, and sub-branch managers, were present.

The conference reviewed the performance of the corporate and other branches in the Chattogram region.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Mr. Adil Chowdhury said, “At the branch level, we must prioritise proper risk management, cautious loan disbursement, reduction of non-performing loans, and growth of deposits. At the same time, we should strengthen the bank’s market position by introducing innovative products and services for all customer segments—from corporate clients to small and medium entrepreneurs. Every officer should strive to become a symbol of trust for our customers, which should be our ultimate goal.”

At the time, he emphasised the importance of recovering non-performing loans and mobilising new deposits.

He also urged branch managers and officials to work as a team with a positive mindset to take the business growth of the Chattogram region to new heights, the release adds.
