Robi to collect electricity bill of DPDC

Robi has inked a deal with Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) to collect electricity bills.

Shihab Ahmad, chief digital services officer of Robi, and Joyonto Kumar Sikder, company secretary of DPDC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at the Bidyut Bhaban in the capital on Thursday.

From now, customers of DPDC will be able to pay their prepaid bills through Robi’s bill payment platform, RobiCash. They can make the payment through RobiCash Points or Robi Walk-In-Centres (WICs) or their own mobile phones, according to a statement.

Besides, Robi customers can also pay water bill and purchase train tickets either from the RobiCash agents or by using RobiCash through mobile phone.

DPDC’s Managing Director Engineer Bikash Dewan and Robi’s Vice President (M-Money & Regulatory) Dewan Nazmul Hasan along with high officials from the two organisations were present on the occasion.
