Runner Group Chairman Hafizur Rahman Khan won ‘President’s Award for Industrial Development’ as recognition to his contributions to the national economy in industrial sector.
He received the trophy and certificate in industrial category on behalf of Runner Automobiles Limited from President Md Abdul Hamid at a programme at Osmany Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka recently, said a statement.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu presided over the programme.
Runner Group largely contributes to the national economy by manufacturing motorcycles locally and thus reducing import dependency and creating employment in the country.
Besides, meeting the domestic demand, Runner Automobiles Ltd has started exporting ‘Made in Bangladesh’ tagged two-wheelers to Nepal.
