Sayed Abul Hashem appointed as new DMD at Al-Arafah Islami Bank

Sayed Abul Hashem FCA, FCMA has joined Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, one of the country's leading Shariah-based banks, as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Prior to this, he was working as DMD and CFO at The Premier Bank PLC.

According to a press release, he started his banking career in 2000 as Principal Officer at Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC. Throughout his professional journey spanning over 26 years, he has held key leadership positions at several top-tier financial institutions, including Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC and Mutual Trust Bank PLC.

In his academic life, Mr. Hashem obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA). Additionally, he has successfully completed Banking Diploma and participated in numerous professional training programs and seminars on finance both at home and abroad.
