International Organization for Migration (IOM) and International Business Forum Bangladesh (IBFB) will hold a multi-stakeholder event titled “Uplifting the Competitiveness of Bangladesh through Ethical Labour Practices in Supply Chains” on September 1.
Dr. Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, Dr. Md. Rezaul Haque, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Dr. Rubana Huq, President, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, Mr. Humayan Rashid, President, International Business Forum Bangladesh, Mr. Asif Ibrahim, Former President, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms. Marina Manke, Head, Labour Mobility and Human Development Division, IOM, Geneva, Ms. Lara White, Senior Labour Migration Specialist, IOM and Kazi Roushan Ara, Executive Director, Leathergoods and Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh will speak in the conference.
Sharon Dimanche, Deputy Chief of Mission, IOM Bangladesh will moderate.
