Seminar on ‘Halal Industry Development’

An international seminar on 'Halal Industry Development: Global Opportunities for the Tourism Industry', organised by EXPOPRO (Centre for Business Development & Communications) and supported by Stryke.com.bd in association with Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI), was held in Dhaka recently.

Haris bin Haji Othman, High Commissioner of Brunei to Bangladesh, attended the deminar as the chief guest and spoke on global halal tourism development, says a press release.

Enamul Haque Patwary, former director of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), and Mahbub Alam, Advisor (NATP 2), Value Chain & Market Development, were present as discussants.

Dr. Nur Rahman, CEO of Brunei HalalFoods, Brunei, and Shelly Smith, Sales and Marketing Director of Asia Africa Travel Company, Indonesia, were the other two discussants who participated in the seminar virtually.

The speakers at the seminar discussed ways to develop the Halal Tourism Ecosystem in Bangladesh.

Founder and CEO of EXPOPRO Md Mamunur Rahman, who is also the Bangladesh Chapter President of the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI), presented the keynote paper.

At the seminar, two business delegations from Bangladesh were announced by EXPOPRO. One is for the High-Level Diplomatic Meet 2023 (Series-IV) to be held at IIC, New Delhi, India, on June 24, 2023, and the other is for the 19th Malaysia International Halal Showcase 2023 to be held in Kuala Lumpur on September 12-15, 2023.
