Shafiul Alam Ujjal elected president of BELIA; Yadul Haque made general secretary

Shafiul Alam Ujjal has been elected President and Yadul Haque as General Secretary of the Bangladesh Elevator Escalators and Lift Importers Association (BELIA), the organisation of lift importers in Bangladesh.
The new executive committee for the 2026–2028 term was officially announced on Saturday at a restaurant in the BTMC Building at Karwan Bazar.
After the announcement, the newly formed committee was introduced, members exchanged views, and an iftar gathering was held.
At the event, it was informed that the election process was completed peacefully and smoothly according to the schedule declared by the election board.
Other elected members include: Senior Vice-President Achinta Kumar Biswas, Vice-President Asim Sarkar, Treasurer S.M. Monir Uzzaman Monir, Joint General Secretary Md. Khalid Hossain Torofdar, and seven Directors — Mohammad Zakirul Haque, Md. Neyamul Haque, Md. Lotfor Rahman, Faruk Hossain, Mohammad Nasir Uddin, Ahmad Ali, and Aref Ahmed.
