Shahjalal Islami Bank holds closing ceremony of Entrepreneurship Development Programme

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC organised the closing and certificate distribution ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP).
According to a press release, the programme was presided over by Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, and Mr. Mohammed Walid Hossain, Additional Secretary &Executive Program Director (EPD), Ministry of Finance, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, was present as the chief guest.
Among others, the Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank and Program Director of SICIP-PIU Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam, the Additional Secretary and Deputy Executive Program Director of the Ministry of Finance Mr. Md. Mahfuzul Alam Khan, the Joint Secretary & Deputy Executive Program Director (Program Management-3) Ms. Syeda Amina Fahmeen, the Deputy Secretary & Assistant Executive Program Director (Program Management-6) Ms. Mahmuda Akhter, the Additional Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, the Deputy Managing Directors Mr. M. M. Saiful Islam and Mr. Mostafa Hossain and the Head of SME & Agri. Investment Division Mr. Md. Abdur Rahim, along with senior officials of various divisions of the bank's Corporate Head Office, were present at the program.
During the event, certificates were distributed among 25 new entrepreneurs trained under Bangladesh Bank's Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) and 5 selected entrepreneurs were handed over cheques of Tk. 50 lakh for business expansion. As part of the program, a colorful product fair was organised on the ground floor of the bank, where stalls of 25 entrepreneurs trained under EDP were placed.Various innovative products from agro-processing, handicrafts, fashion, IT and healthcare sectors were displayed, which arose great interest among all those present, including guests and bank officials.
Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director of the bank, said, “Through our partnership with SICIP, we want to create an environment where entrepreneurs can flourish and make a visible contribution to the country's economy.”Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC believes that such initiatives will inspire entrepreneurs across the country and further strengthen their contribution to the sustainable economic development of the country.
