Shahjalal Islami Bank holds financial literacy program for female CMSME entrepreneurs in Bogura

A financial literacy program was organized on Saturday at a local hotel in Bogura for the development of CMSME women entrepreneurs at the initiative of the SME & Agri Investment Division of the Corporate Head Office of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC.
According to a press release, the financial literacy program was organized as part of the bank's continuous activities to build an employment-oriented and industry-based economy by utilizing the immense potential of the CMSME sector for development & growth and to ensure easy access to finance and financial literacy among women entrepreneurs.
The Deputy Managing Director of the bank, M. M. Saiful Islam, was present as the chief guest at the program. While Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, Founder Executive Director of TMSS, was present as the special guest.
Among others, the Head of SME & Agri. Investment Division of Shahjalal Islami Bank Md. Abdur Rahim, the Regional Head of Bogura Region and the Manager of Bogura Branch Md. Jahangir Alam along with managers of six branches in the region and officials of the head office were also present in the program. The women entrepreneurs shared their business experiences, challenges and future plans and received necessary guidance from the bank officials.
The Deputy Managing Director of the bank, M. M. Saiful Islam, mentioned the contribution of women to the country's economic growth and GDP and urged for greater involvement of women entrepreneurs in SME investment.
He highlighted the importance of women's financial independence and entrepreneurial spirit and advised them to move forward on the path of success through dedication, confidence and professionalism.
