Shahjalal Islami Bank organises daylong workshop on sustainable finance

Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited organised an awareness raising workshop on Sustainable Finance on Saturday at the Training Academy of the bank in Dhaka.

A total of 40 officers including the Head of Division and Investment-in-Charge from branches participated in the workshop, says a press release.

The Additional Managing Director of the bank Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest and delivered his speech highlighting the importance of sustainable finance to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advised all the officials to follow the concerned policy and guidelines of Bangladesh Bank.

The Director of Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank Chowdhury Liakat Ali was present as special guest in the workshop. The Joint Director of Sustainable Finance Department Shakhawat Hossan and the Joint Director of Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank Md Abu Rayhan were the key note speakers.

Among others, the SEVP & Principal of Bank’s Training Academy Md Saidur Rahaman and the SEVP & Head of Sustainable Finance Unit of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd Mohammed Ashfaqul Hoque, FCA, FCS were also present in the workshop.
