Shahjalal Islami Bank organises discussion on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited on Wednesday organised a discussion on the life and work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of 48th Martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation.
Chairman of the bank Mohammed Younus was present as chief guest while the Managing Director and CEO Mosleh Uddin Ahmed presided over in the function, says a press release on Thursday.
Among others, directors of the bank Dr Anwer Hossain Khan, MP, AK Azad and engineer Md Towhidur Rahman discussed elaborately on the life and work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Vice-chairman Abdul Karim (Nazim) (joined the meeting through a digital platform), Directors Md Sanaullah Shahid, Akkas Uddin Mollah, Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Abdul Halim, Additional Managing Director Abdul Aziz, SM Mainuddin Chowdhury and Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Directors Imtiaz U Ahmed and MM Saiful Islam, Company Secretary Md Abul Bashar and CFO Md Jafar Sadeq, FCA also took part in the discussion meeting.
Head of Public Relations Department Md. Shamsuddoha (Shimu) moderated the programme.
In the meeting, the speakers emphasised the contribution of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great architect of freedom in modern Bangladesh and the propagation of his philosophy from generation to generation.
They said that the present and future generations need to know the correct history of the country's independence. Bangladesh would not have become independent if Bangabandhu was not born.
The speakers also said Bengali nation will forever remember the great contribution of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for the independence of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh achieved independence under the visionary and uncompromising leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, they added.
In the meeting a special Du’a and Munazat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and members of his family who sacrificed their life on 15 August in 1975.
