Shahjalal Islami Bank signs MoU with HAAB

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIB PLC) and Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the HAAB office in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, all Hajj and Umrah pilgrims can deposit their Hajj and Umrah registration fees through 141 branches and 5 sub-branches of SJIB PLC from all over the country, according to a press release.

The Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, Mr Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, and the President of HAAB, Syed Golam Sarwer, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective organisations.

Among others, the Secretary General of the HAAB, Mr Farid Ahmed Mazumder; the Joint Secretary General of the HAAB, Mr Mohammad Jafar Uddin; the Finance Secretary of HAAB, Mr Mohammad Abdul Hamid; the SEVP & Company Secretary of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, Mr Md Abul Bashar; the Deputy Manager of the Bank’s Bijoynagar Branch, Mr Md Joynul Abedin Khan Safari; the Head of the Bank’s Shariah Inspection and Compliance Division, Maulana Mr Md Farid Uddin; and the JAVP & In-Charge of the Public Relations Department of the Bank, Mr K M Harunur Rashid, along with the senior officials of both organisations, were present at the agreement ceremony.
