The 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Shahjalal Islami Bank was held on 25th June 2025 through a digital platform (with online video conference).
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, Mr A. K. Azad, presided over the meeting, according to a press release.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) approved a 10 per cent cash dividend for the shareholders, and the directors reported and audited the balance sheet and the profit and loss account for the year ending on 31st December 2024.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, Mr A. K. Azad, and the managing director, Mr Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, delivered speeches at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The SEVP and Company Secretary of the bank, Mr Md. Abul Bashar, moderated the programme.
Among others, the Vice-Chairmen of the board Mr Mohammed Younus and Mr Mohiuddin Ahmed; the directors of the bank, Dr Anwer Hossain Khan, Mr Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Mr Harun Miah, Mr Akkas Uddin Mollah, Mr Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Mr Fakir Akhtaruzzaman, Mr Md. Moshiur Rahman Chamak, Mrs Tahera Faruque, Mr Fakir Mashrikuzzaman; and independent directors Mr Nasir Uddin Ahmed and Mr Md. Reazul Karim were also present in the AGM.
Besides the additional managing director of the bank, Mr Imtiaz U. Ahmed; the deputy managing directors, Mr M. M. Saiful Islam and Mr Mustafa Husain; the legal advisor of the bank, Barrister Khan Mohammad Shamim Aziz; the external auditor of the bank and the partner of Aziz Halim Khayer and Co., Mr Md. Ashrafuzzaman, ACA; the independent scrutiniser partner of Jasmin and Associates, Jasmin Akter, FCA; the CFO of the bank, Mr Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA; and the shareholders participated in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) through the digital platform.
