Shimanto Bank arranges tree plantation programme in Satkhira, Cox's Bazar

To combat the negative impacts of climate change, a tree plantation program was arranged by Shimanto Bank at schools in Shyamnagar (Satkhira) and Teknaf (Cox's Bazar) upazila.
According to a press release, the initiative involved planting fruit, timber and medicinal tree saplings at school premises.
Through this program, students were made aware of the importance of tree planting in combating the negative effects of climate change and were encouraged to plant trees. Tree saplings were planted across 7 schools in Shyamnagar and 2 schools in Teknaf.
Mohammad Hosen, Branch Manager of Teknaf Branch and Md. Anwarul Islam, Branch Manager of Shyamnagar Sub-Branch, have coordinated the tree plantation program at their respective areas. School teachers and students have been participating in this program enthusiastically.
