Shimanto Bank distributes water tanks among people affected by climate change

Shimanto Bank has distributed water tanks among the people affected by climate change to conserve drinking water in Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira district recently as part of CSR.

The necessary infrastructure has been constructed to conserve rainwater in the tanks, according to a media release. 

This initiative will bring positive changes in the lives of the local people to meet the shortage of drinking water in this coastal region affected by climate change.

Local non-government development organization Nowabenki Gonomukhi Foundation (NGF) has provided overall support to this initiative.

Mr. Md. Monowar Hossain, Manager, Shyamnagar Sub-Branch, Shimanto Bank, Mr. Md. Alamgir Kabir, Director (Microfinance), NGF, Mr. S.M Mahabub Alam, Head of Monitoring, Evaluation & Documentation, NGF and officials of both the organizations were present at the program.
