Smart Bangladesh Summit 2023', scheduled to begin on Thursday last here under the initiative of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, has been postponed.
"The three-day 'Smart Bangladesh Summit 2023' was scheduled to be held from 5-7 October. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, it has been postponed," reads an ICT Division press release.
The organisers will provide further information about the postponed summit later, it added.
BCC Director (Training and Development) Md. Golam Sarwar said an official decision was taken on October 3 to postpone the summit.
But President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in separate messages, on Wednesday greeted all stakeholders on the occasion of 'Smart Bangladesh Summit'.
Despite postponement of the summit, preparations have not stopped for the 'Smart Bangladesh Mela' of the Post and Telecommunication Department from October 26 to 28.
