Sonali Life’s 'Managers’ Training and Business Development Meeting' held in Chattogram

Sonali Life Insurance Company Ltd Saturday organised a 'Managers’ Training and Business Development Meeting' for a territory in Chattogram.

The programme was held at a city hotel, organised by the company, said a press release.

The event was presided over by Sonali Life’s DMD SM. Mohiuddin Faruqi. Sonali Life Director Seikh Md Daniel attended as the chief guest, Acting CEO Mohammad Rafiqul Islam was the keynote speaker, and CFO Mohammad Abdul Hannan FCA was the special speaker.

Also present were Deputy Managing Director Satyajit Das Gupta, Maulana Mohammad Alauddin, Assistant General Manager Mohammad Mohiuddin, and all branch and unit managers from the Chattogram territory.

The training session was conducted by Sonali Life’s Deputy Managing Director Emdadul Haque Sahil. Later, the speakers discussed the company’s 2025 business action plan, necessary measures for its implementation, and provided guidance on achieving the targets. They also highlighted Sonali Life’s achievements over the past 12 years, as well as future challenges and opportunities.

It was noted that out of Sonali Life’s 246 branch offices nationwide, the Chattogram division alone has 107 branches operating efficiently. Of these, 33 branches in Chattogram district are continuously serving customers. Maintaining its strong record in claim settlements, Sonali Life has paid out around Tk 1.78 billion up to July 2025.

In terms of premium income, Chattogram division remains the top performer. In the last seven months, first-year premium income crossed Tk 560 million, while renewal premium income reached nearly Tk 1.53 billion. Participants expressed hope that this growth trend will continue in the future.
