Southeast Bank provides financial assistance to farmers as part of CSR commitment

Southeast Bank PLC has provided financial support to farmers in three key areas: “Increase yield in agricultural sector," "Purchase of Agricultural Equipment” and “Processing of Agricultural Products” as part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), according to a press statement Monday.

Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC, distributed the financial assistance to grassroots farmers with the help of the NGO "Proyas Manobik Unnayan Society" at the bank's head office. This assistance, provided through a special fund, reflects the bank's dedication to supporting marginalised farmers.

Southeast Bank PLC partnered with Proyas Manobik Unnayan Society to ensure the aid reached those in need.

Md Hasib Hossain, Founder and Executive Director of Proyas Manobik Unnayan Society, attended the event along with the farmers. Md Masum Uddin Khan and Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Directors of Southeast Bank PLC, were also present, along with other officials from both institutions, at the ceremony.
