Southeast Bank PLC and Visa recently organised the "Hajj Card Conference" in the ballroom of FARS Hotel & Resorts in the capital.
The conference aimed to strengthen partnerships with the owners and representatives of Hajj and Umrah agencies and explore opportunities to enhance the quality of services for pilgrims, according to a media release.
The conference was presided over by Mr. Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank.
The event was graced by Mr. Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager of Visa Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan as the esteemed guest.
Distinguished leaders from renowned Hajj agencies and key stakeholders participated, fostering meaningful discussions and collaboration.
During the conference, Mr. Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank, formally handed over the "Hajj Card" to Mr. Zafor Iqbal Khan, Proprietor, IBM Travels, Mr. Zahid Alam, Proprietor, Bangladesh Air Travels and Mr. Junayed Gulzer, Proprietor, Zabel E Nur Travels.
With this card, users can withdraw Saudi Riyals from any ATM booth in Saudi Arabia without any additional fees or charges, ensuring cost-effectiveness, the release says.
Additionally, Moallims can conveniently use this card to pay for hotel accommodations, transportation, food, and other essential expenses.
Southeast Bank's Managing Director, Mr. Nuruddin Md. Sadeque Hossain, stated, "This conference serves as an important platform for strengthening relationships with Hajj and Umrah agencies."
He also acknowledged the remarkable contributions of these agencies in enhancing pilgrim services and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to working closely with them.

The owners and CEOs of renowned Hajj & Umrah agencies, Mr. Abidur Rahman Chowdhury and Mr. Masum Uddin Khan, Deputy Managing Directors of Southeast Bank PLC, along with senior executives from Southeast Bank and Visa International attended the conference, the release adds.
