To increase awareness about Shari'ah compliance in banking activities, Shari'ah-based Standard Bank PLC organised a `Shari'ah Awareness Program’on virtual platform Zoom for the Head of Branches, Manager Operations and Investment In-charges of 138 branches of the bank on 14 November 2024.
Md. Habibur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of the bank presided over the program where Dr. Muhammed Saifullah, Chairman of the Shari'ah Supervisory Committee of the bank was present as the chief guest, according to a media release.
Prof. Dr. Zubair Mohammad Ehsanul Hoque, Member Secretary of the Shari`ah Supervisory Committee of the bank was present as the special guest & keynote speaker and Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director & COO of the bank moderated the open floor discussion.
K. M. Rahmatullah, SAVP & Head of Shari`ah Secretariat Division acted as the anchor of the program.
