Standard Chartered, SME Foundation empower women entrepreneurs with Online Business Management and Financial Inclusion training program

Standard Chartered Bank, in collaboration with SME Foundation, organised a three-day-long training program on “Online Business Management and Financial Inclusion” for Women Entrepreneurs of Bogura.

A total of 36 women entrepreneurs participated in the training, according to a media release. 

Participants included entrepreneurs engaged in a variety of ventures including home-made food, handicraft products manufacturing, boutique shops and others.

Standard Chartered has been working with the SME Foundation to drive financial literacy and tech-based entrepreneurship training opportunities across Bangladesh.

The entrepreneurship pathway lifts participation by helping individuals to develop broader business skills, build financial knowledge, and access an array of financial resources and networks, the release says.

SME Foundation has been established by the Government of Bangladesh and is working as an apex institution for the development of small and medium industries in the country under the Ministry of Industry.

SME Foundation is working for the development of small and medium industries of the country according to the SME policy of Bangladesh government.

Women entrepreneurship development programs are implemented with special importance in the overall activities of the Foundation, the release adds.
