Sugar prices decreased by Tk 8 to 10 per kg after mass uprising

Sugar prices have witnessed a fall of Tk 8 to 10 per kilogramme after the fall of the Awami League-led government through a mass uprising.

According to sources at the traders’ association, the price of sugar was Tk 135 per kg at the consumer level before August 5.

“Now, traders are selling sugar at Tk 125 to 127 per kg,” a business leader told local news portals.

Besides, the essential commodity is being sold at Tk 118 to 120 per kg at the wholesale market.
