Syngenta Bangladesh & DAE jointly celebrate World Food Day 2025 in Khulna

Syngenta Bangladesh proudly celebrated World Food Day 2025 on Thursday (16 October) under the global theme ‘Hand in Hand for Better Food and Better Future.’
In collaboration with the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) at their regional office in Khulna, the celebration highlighted the pivotal role of farmers in ensuring national food security and building resilient food systems, according to a press release.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Md. Abdur Rahim, Director, Plant Quarantine Wing, Department of Agricultural Extension, as Chief Guest, Mohammed Shahidul Islam, Director, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Syngenta Bangladesh, S. M. Rashidul Islam, Special Correspondent, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), and Shahanuare Shaid Shahin, President, Bangladesh Agricultural Journalist Forum (BAJF), as special guests, and Farmers.
The event was chaired by Md. Rafiqul Islam, Additional Director, DAE Khulna Region, Khulna.
During the event, a rally led by farmers, DAE, and Syngenta officials promotes awareness and collective action toward ending hunger and ensuring access to nutritious food for all.
