Syngenta Bangladesh, Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) sign MoU to transform agriculture through innovation, sustainability

Syngenta Bangladesh Limited has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) on 12 September 2024 at the DAE Headquarters in Dhaka.

This collaboration is set to transform Bangladesh's agricultural sector by leveraging the strengths of both organizations to bring innovative solutions and best practices to the forefront, according to a press release. 

Hedayet Ullah, the Managing Director of Syngenta Bangladesh Limited, and Md. Tajul Islam Patwary, the Director General of DAE, penned the agreement on behalf of respective organization.

The MoU outlines several key objectives, including the implementation of cutting-edge agricultural technologies and practices to enhance crop productivity and quality. It also emphasizes the importance of providing training and resources to farmers to improve their skills and knowledge, enabling them to adopt modern farming techniques. Additionally, the collaboration aims to contribute to the national goal of food security by increasing agricultural output and developing forward linkage capacity of the farmers.

This partnership exemplifies the strength of public-private collaboration in enhancing the farming community, the release adds.
