Tahmina Afroz, Emdadul Hoque Chowdhury re-elected as chairman, vice chairman of Takaful Islami Insurance

Mrs Tahmina Afroz and Mr Emdadul Hoque Chowdhury (Emdad) were unanimously re-elected as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of Takaful Islami Insurance Limited for the year 2024-2025 at the 139th meeting of the Board of Directors of the company.

The meeting was held on August 10, 2024, in the capital, according to a media release.

Mrs Tahmina Afroz is the wife of a renowned businessman Mr Anwer Hossain Khan, Chairman and Managing Director of Modern Group.

She is a Director of Anwer Khan Modern Medical College and Hospital, Modern Holdings Limited, Hazi Shakhawat Anwara Eye Hospital, Marry Gold Holdings Limited and Modern Diabetic Centre.

Mr Emdadul Hoque Chowdhury is the Chairman of Kattali Textile Ltd and Managing Director of DN Securities Ltd, Lucky Shipping and Lucky Corner.

Besides, the meeting elected Mr Md Azizul Hossain as Chairman of Audit Committee, Mrs Tahmina Afroz as Chairman of Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Engr Khondaker Mesbahuddin Ahmed as Chairman of Investment Committee, Mr Md Humayun Kabir Patwary as Chairman of Risk Management Committee and Mr Khorshed Alam Khan as Chairman of Policyholder Protection and Compliance Committee for the year 2024-2025.
