TCB starts subsidised commodity sales for June nationwide Sunday

The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will start selling some essential commodities at subsidised rates across the country on Sunday morning.

State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu will inaugurate the sales for the month of June during a ceremony in Dhaka’s Pallabi, according to a press release.

More than 10 million families who hold TCB family cards will get the opportunity to buy the commodities at subsidised rates.

One family cardholder can buy two litres of soybean oil at Tk 100 per litre, two kg of lentils at Tk 60 per kg, one kg of sugar at Tk 70 per kg, and five kg of rice at Tk 30 per kg.

TCB will conduct its sales activities from designated shops or establishments on a scheduled date and time in coordination with local administrations across the country.
