Three teams from Bangladesh were named champion, runners-up, and second runner-up in the Business Case Competition 2025, jointly organised by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) in Bangladesh and BRAC Business School, BRAC University.
They were selected from a pool of five finalist teams at the grand finale and award ceremony of the competition held at the BRAC University Multipurpose Hall in Dhaka on Sunday.
The competition concluded with 'Team Adamantine' securing 1st place and a development fund of Tk 200,000, earning the opportunity to represent Bangladesh in the HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition in Hong Kong this June. They will compete with teams from over 20 countries on a global stage.
Broke Bankers bagged the 2nd place and received Tk 100,000, while Pencil Musketeers secured 3rd place, winning Tk 50,000.
Md. Anwar Hossain, Vice Chairman & CEO, Export Promotion Bureau, was present at the event as the chief guest. Md Mahbub ur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Bangladesh, and Dr. Syed Ferhat Anwar, Vice Chancellor of BRAC University, also attended the programme.
A distinguished panel of judges, including Rubaba Dowla, Country Managing Director at Oracle Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan; Uzma Chowdhury, Chairperson of Meghna Bank PLC & Finance Director of PRAN-RFL Group; and Dan Pasha, Director of Trade & Investment, British High Commission; assessed the final presentations.
The panel commended the finalists for their analytical depth, creativity, and professionalism, noting that the competition displayed the incredible potential of Bangladesh's future leaders.
This initiative is part of HSBC's global commitment to future skills development, aiming to equip young people with the knowledge and experience to navigate a fast-changing global economy.
