Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is going to participate in a local tourism fair in the city for the first time to attract Bangladeshi travellers to visit Japan.
JNTO will display various tourism destinations of Japan and advise Bangladeshi travellers to make their tour plan through a pavilion at the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2023.
Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) organises the three-day fair beginning today (Thursday) at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital.
According to a Japanese Embassy press release on Wednesday, travel lovers at the JNTO pavilion can get information about Japan tourism.
They will arrange virtual reality show for the visitors at the fair so that potential Bangladeshi travellers can get the virtual feeling of visiting different tourism spots of Japan.
Yukata, Japanese traditional summer kimono dress will be available for photo shoot at the JNTO pavilion at the carnival hall of the BICC while surprise gifts will also be offered.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Mahbub Ali will inaugurate the BTTF as the chief guest.
First Secretary of Japanese Embassy Komine Ken and Senior Director of JNTO Singapore Office Suzumori Kanako will be present at the inaugural ceremony.
Tourism organisations from Malaysia, Nepal, India, UAE, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Vietnam, Thailand and Turkey will also participate in this fair.
