United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) hosted its three-day Annual Business Conclave 2025 at the Rajendrapur BRAC CDM with its branch managers from 23-25 January, marking the first such event in nearly five years.

The conclave provided an important platform for UCB’s branch managers to engage in discussions on current financial challenges within the banking sector and the future of digital banking, according to a press release.

The event, themed "Rise Above the Rest," brought together managers from all 231 of UCB’s branches, offering a valuable opportunity to collaborate with the bank’s senior management team.

The conference focused on enhancing the skills of branch managers, fostering the exchange of innovative ideas, and underscoring the significance of digital transformation and service modernization in banking.

Sharif Zahir, UCB Chairman, renowned business leader, and young entrepreneur, stated, “We aspire to make UCB the leading bank in the country. We are committed to running UCB with transparency, accountability, and creativity. Despite the country's economic challenges, our strategic steps have led to growth in both our customer base and deposits. We will continue to prioritize digital banking and the integration of cutting-edge technologies.”
