United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) recently organized a workshop for tea cluster entrepreneurs in Panchagarh District.
The event aimed to enhance financial literacy and explore growth opportunities within the tea industry, according to a media release.
The workshop was graced by the presence of Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SMESPD of Bangladesh Bank, as the chief guest.
Other distinguished attendees included Rezaul Karim Siddique, Agriculture Analyst; Muhammad Nazmul Haque, Additional Director, SMESPD, Bangladesh Bank; S.M. Moinul Hossain, Head of Credit Risk Management (SME & Retail) UCB; and Mohammad Salim Chowdhury, Head of SME & Agri Banking Division, UCB.
The program included a panel discussion, a Question & Answer session, and a financial literacy session.
The discussions highlighted SME-focused banking services and emphasized UCB's dedication to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth, the release adds.
