UCB Investment closes Tk 12,000 million subordinated bond for Dutch-Bangla Bank

UCB Investment Limited has closed the Dutch-Bangla Bank 5th Subordinated Bond of BDT 12,000 million, issued by Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC.
According to a press release, this is the largest capital bond till date issued by any private commercial bank in Bangladesh, marking a significant milestone in the country’s financial sector. The closing ceremony for this achievement was recently held at the head office of Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC in Dhaka.
UCB Investment Limited, the leading investment bank in Bangladesh, proudly acted as the arranger. The funds raised through this issuance will enhance the Tier-II Capital of Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC, enabling the bank to expand its business operations.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Shahidur Rahman Khan, Managing Director & CEO (Current Charge) of Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC, other Deputy Managing Directors of Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC. and Mr. Tanzim Alamgir, Founding Managing Director & CEO of UCB Investment Limited, along with other senior officials from both organizations.
