UCB provides Hepatitis B vaccination to Dhaka Medical College students

United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), one of the leading financial institutions in the country, in collaboration with Sandhani, Dhaka Medical College Unit, has inaugurated a Hepatitis B vaccination program for nearly 500 students of Dhaka Medical College.
As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility, UCB has extended its support to this vital healthcare initiative, according to a media release.
The inauguration ceremony was held at shaheed Dr. Shamsul Alam Khan Milon Auditorium of Dhaka Medical College.
Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Alam, Principal of Dhaka Medical College, attended the program as the Chief Guest.
Special Guests included Professor Dr. Faruq Ahmed, Vice Principal of the College, and Professor Dr. Abdul Hanif (Tablu), Head of the Department of Neonatal Surgery.
Representing UCB were Chief Communication Officer Zeeshan Kingshuk Haque and officials from both organizations.
On behalf of Sandhani, the welcome speeches were delivered by Ishteaque Mohammad Taskin, President of Sandhani Dhaka Medical College Unit, and General Secretary Dipto Noor Kallol.
Joining the event virtually was Professor Dr. Zia Uddin Ahmed from the Division of Nephrology, Temple University, USA.
In his speech, Chief Guest Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Alam highly praised UCB for its humanitarian initiative, saying, “This Hepatitis B vaccination program is of great importance as it will help protect thousands of our future healthcare professionals. As a leading financial institution, UCB’s commitment to social responsibility is truly commendable and sets a remarkable example for other institutions in the country.”

We are proud to stand beside medical students in safeguarding their health through such a noble initiative.”
