Unique Hotel and Resorts PLC (owning company of The Westin Dhaka, Sheraton Dhaka & HANSA – a Premium Residence) has been honoured with the prestigious Gold Award in the Service Sector category at the 23rd ICAB National Award for Best Presented Annual Report 2022.
The award was presented by Tipu Munshi, Commerce Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, during a ceremony held on 30th October 2023 at Pan Pacific Sonargoan Dhaka, according to a media release.
The ICAB National Award for Best Presented Annual Report is a highly respected recognition for excellence in corporate reporting practices in Bangladesh.
The awards recognise and celebrate organisations that demonstrate transparency, accountability, and adherence to international reporting standards in their annual reports.
Unique Hotel and Resorts PLC stood out in the Service Sector category with its exceptional annual report, which provided stakeholders with a comprehensive and transparent view of the company's financial performance, corporate governance, and sustainable initiatives.
The report showcased the company's commitment to transparency, good governance, and its dedication to creating long-term value for its shareholders, customers, and the community, the release says.
Upon receiving the Gold Award, Md Shakawath Hossain, the CEO of Unique Hotel and Resorts PLC, expressed his gratitude and stated, “Sincere thanks to our Honourable Chairperson Mrs. Salina Ali, Honorable Managing Director Mr Mohd Noor Ali, Board of Directors, CFO and Finance Team, Company Secretary, Audit Team, Management Team and All Stakeholders for having the confidence on us to execute such brilliant results!”
