United Finance has officially launched ‘URise’, a dedicated loan program designed to empower startups under Bangladesh Bank’s refinancing scheme.
The inauguration ceremony was recently held at the company’s head office, marking a significant step toward fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Bangladesh, according to a media release.
Applications for the program are being collected digitally through United Finance’s mobile app, UMA, ensuring a seamless and accessible process for aspiring entrepreneurs.
During the ceremony, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director; Mohammed Abul Ahasan, Deputy Managing Director; and Sudip Saha, Head of SME and Women Entrepreneur Financing, shared their perspectives on the initiative.
In his speech, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam emphasized United Finance’s long-standing commitment to inclusion, “For 36 years, United Finance has stood beside marginalized communities. We believe in the power of youth and innovation, and we are excited to introduce Bangladesh Bank-supported startup loans at an affordable cost. With a simpler, fully digital process, we aspire to be an enabler of Bangladesh’s growing startup ecosystem.”
Startups interested in applying can do so directly through the United Finance Mobile App- UMA, available for download on both the App Store and Google Play Store, the release adds.
