United Power Generation and Distribution Company Limited (UPGDCL), a concern of United Group, has been awarded the SAFA Best Presented Annual Report Award 2023 in the Power and Energy category, a prestigious recognition from the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) that highlights excellence in corporate reporting and transparency across South Asia.
United Group’s Director, Sharfuddin Akhter Rashid, accepted the award at a ceremony held on November 11, 2024, at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka, according to a media release.
Each year, SAFA recognizes organizations that excel in sustainable practices and corporate accountability, and this recognition reflects United Group’s ongoing commitment to responsible reporting within Bangladesh’s energy sector, the release adds.
