Vivo, ZEISS bring professional camera to smartphone for photography-loving generation

One such goal has been to bring the prowess of professional cameras to vivo smartphones with the brand’s flagship X series, vivo has announced.

To achiev­e that goal, vivo brought aboard the expertise of ZEISS in optical technology and lenses to produce a refined and exquisite camera system for this photography-loving generation, said a company press release issued on Tuesday.

It added that vivo has accumulated an understanding of the needs of the younger generation of users while providing quality products and services to more than 400 million users in more than 40 countries and regions around the world. ZEISS, known for its 100-year history of shipping and innovation, has advanced technology in optical imaging.

The cooperation of these two brands has led to a breakthrough in mobile photography, bringing the ultimate professional-grade imaging experience to photography enthusiasts/shutterbugs with the X70 Pro, said the release.

It mentioned that the vivo X70 Pro (5G) cameras meet the certified ZEISS T* Coating standard with the recognisable ZEISS logo and ZEISS T* Coating label stamped on the rear camera array.

According to the release, a ZEISS Vario-Tessar trademark has been engraved on its protruding flashlight panel. The ZEISS T* Coating enhances the transmission rate of visible light, improves image quality, and accurately restores the colours of a subject, enabling users to get a perfect night camera experience and capture beautiful night photos without any disturbing elements.

The device also features a 50MP + 12MP + 12MP + 8MP Quad Camera system that generates sharp and clear imaging at any time, said the release adding that the cherry on the cake is the 32MP front camera for those who regularly click selfies.

Furthermore, the company said,  the Ultra-Sensing Gimbal Camera that utilises a customised version of the SONY IMX766V sensor, when coupled with Gimbal Stabilisation 3.0 technology, yields steady images or videos in dynamic motion.

The company release detailed that the X70 Pro also features the ZEISS Style Portrait that brings four exciting classic ZEISS lenses, namely Biotar, Distagon, Planar, and Sonnar, into one device, allowing photographers to explore and showcase their skills in various forms.

In line with this, the X70 Pro (5G) launch event saw renowned photographer NafisFuad and emerging director Vicky Zahed applauding the smartphone's revolutionary camera capabilities, the release said.

It further mentioned that the latest X series flagship brings the ultimate aesthetic design with smooth, elegant curves and an ultra-slim 7.99mm design that feels premium to the touch. The X70 Pro (5G) boasts of a one-of-a-kind Cloud Valley camera arrangement, with vivo’s all-new fluorite AG coating that forges an exquisite surface, offering a comfortable hold and is free from fingerprints.

Paying homage to the Northern Lights and drawing inspiration from the eternal vigour and exuberant vitality of our universe, vivo X70 Pro (5G) is available in Aurora Dawn and Cosmic Black colours, respectively, at Tk 72,990, according to the company’s announcement.
