Walton offer: School teacher wins 0.1 million cash

A school teacher in Dohar on the outskirts of Dhaka city received Tk 0.1 million after he bought a Walton brand refrigerator on Thursday.

Ajit Kumer Sarker, an assistant head teacher of Islamabad High School, is one of the lucky winners of the cash voucher given by local brand Walton to encourage its customers in digital product registration, which will make its after sales service easier and hassle-free.

The teacher bought a refrigerator worth Tk 30,300 from Walton Plaza at Joypara. He received a message of wining cash voucher of Tk 0.1 million at night as he returned home with the purchased refrigerator after completing the digital registration formalities. His joy knew no bounds as it was totally unexpected for him.

"My wife wanted to buy a refrigerator and a smart television while our daughter who is preparing to get admitted at a private medical college needed a smart phone. However, I was unable to fulfill their demands and only went to buy a refrigerator as it was a crying need for our family," Ajit Kumer said, according to a press release.

He said that the unexpected cash voucher of Walton fulfilled the dreams of his wife and daughter as he bought a 43-inch smart LED television for his wife and three smart phones of which he gave one to his daughter, another to his brother-in-law, who actually advised him to buy the local brand refrigerator. He kept the third smart phone for his own use.

Walton authorities said, the offer of getting the cash voucher is applicable on purchasing of their products worth Tk 10,000 and above. A customer would get minimum Tk 200 to maximum Tk 100,000 on every product purchase and the offer is valid till 31 December, 2017.
