Westin Dhaka, Sheraton Dhaka to offer diverse foods for Iftar, Sahri in Ramadan

The five-star hotels Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka are set to offer a wide range of foods for Iftar and Sahri during the month-long Ramadan.
The hospitality services, owned by Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC, will also provide specialised dishes for the elderly, people with diabetes and children.
The top officials of the two hotels came up with the announcement and inaugurated the offerings at a press conference held at Sheraton Dhaka in Dhaka city’s Banani area on Saturday evening.
Chief Executive Officer of Unique Hotel and Resorts Shakawath Hossain, General Manager of the two hotels Stephane Masse, Executive Chef of Sheraton Dhaka Rimoun Obaid, other officials and top chefs of the hotels were also present on the occasion.
The officials inaugurated the month-long programme by cutting a ribbon following the press conference.
Briefing the media, Shakawath Hossain said the two hotels are highly focused on the wellbeing of customers from all ages so that everyone can enjoy their time during Iftar and buffet.
“All food items are being prepared following health issues like limited or no use of oil for a number of dishes,” he said, adding that there would be separate corners and items for old and minor ones.
According to the officials, both hotels would offer a buffet with a fusion of Mediterranean and Arabic flavours featuring different varieties of kabab, rice dishes, grilled items, beverages and desserts along with traditional iftar items.
The buffet Iftar and dinner will be available daily throughout the month at a cost of Tk 9,990 at the Westin Dhaka and TK 10,990 at the Sheraton Dhaka.
The Westin Dhaka will offer their iftar boxes in three categories: platinum at TK 9,990, Gold at Tk 8,550, and Silver at Tk 7,550, while Sheraton Dhaka will offer their iftar boxes in three categories: luxury at Tk 10,990, Premium at Tk 8,990, and Classic at Tk 7,990.
Besides, buffet Sehri will be available on Thursday, Friday, and the nights before government holidays.
The ‘Buy one get one’ offer will be available with selected cards from over 20 banks. Dutch Bangla Bank Limited or DBBL will offer a ‘buy one get three’ offer on iftar followed by dinner on selected cards.
BRAC Bank PC is the banking partner of the month-long programme.
The holy Ramadan will begin on Tuesday or Wednesday upon moon sight.
