PEOPLE of Bangladesh have heartily congratulated Margarita Mamun alias Ritha, a Russian athlete of Bangladeshi origin who won Gold Medal in Rhythmic Gymnastics at Rio Olympic Games breaking all previous records of the event in the Olympic Games history.
It may be noted her father belonged to Durgapur village of Rajshahi district in Bangladesh.
I suggest that a road in Rajshahi Divisional District town be named after her and the opening of the road be done ceremonially with a grand civic reception arranged by the government of Bangladesh and Rajshahi district administration as a mark of respect for this wonder girl.
The Olympic Gold Medallist Bangladeshi Tiger Girl from Russia hoisted our national flag on top of the world and brought us honour and respect from the international community. Margarita has made our nation proud.
I am now 75 years old and at this age I bow my head to show respect for the 20-years-old wonder girl.
