EVERY year a large number of Bangladeshi people visit India for different reasons. A few months ago the BBC Bangla reported that the Indian High Commission was surprised to know that every person desiring to visit India has to pay Tk 2,000 to Tk 3,000 to get an e-token. According to Indian visa application centre website, the e-token is to be collected through SMS. But it does not work and people have to get an e-token from brokers by paying extra money. I would like to request the authorities concerned to pay attention to this issue and relieve visa-seekers of the trouble.
