WE are now familiar with the word Truecaller, courtesy of smart phones. It is the only dialler you will ever need to identify unknown callers and block unwanted calls.
It was developed by True Software Scandinavia AB, a privately owned company in Stockholm, Sweden founded by Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam in 2009.
It was initially launched on Blackberry mobile sets on July 1, 2009. After a favourable response from the users, it was launched for symbian and Microsoft windows. Later, it was introduced to Android and Apple i-phones and to Nokia series 40 on September 3, 2012. Now it has 5 million users performing 120 million searches in the telephone number database every month.
The service has caller ID, and have call blocking system. Incoming calls which are blacklisted on Truecaller list will automatically be blocked or will forewarn the Truecaller user not to pick up the phone.
Using Truecaller is very easy. You just need to follow some simple rules:
Open browser in your phone and enter the web address as www.truecaller.com
This will open up the Truecaller website, where you will find download button, click on it.
Your click will bring in a new web page, where you will find 3 methods to install the Truecaller application on your phone.
