Love Road in Tejgaon of Dhaka city that connects Tajuddin Ahmed Sarani and Tejgaon industrial area has been in a dilapidated condition for a long time. There are so many ditches and potholes that it has become very difficult for vehicles to move on this road. Specially, when it rains, the misery of the vehicles plying on the road and the passers-by moving there know no bounds.
One day just last week, I observed one expectant woman passenger was about to fall from a rickshaw when suddenly it fell on a watery ditch on the road.
Standing water on areas where the drains are clogged brings more hazards as nobody knows where to fall in a ditch. So, all the vehicles on the road including rickshaws get slower taking extra caution and heavy traffic jam occurs as a daily scenario.
There are many industries, several universities, some TV stations and a number of newspaper offices-cum-printing presses where thousands of people work.
So, in order to help the people who work and live there need to get rid of their miseries, concerned authorities of the Dhaka North City Corporation are requested to repair the road on an urgent basis.
