6.6-magnitude quake hits south of Argentina

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 jolted 285 km SSE of Ushuaia, Argentina, at 17:59:14 GMT on Friday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 44.9 km, was initially determined to be at 57.31 degrees south latitude and 67.28 degrees west longitude.
