Myanmar authorities have seized 254 kg of Methamphetamine (ICE) in eastern Shan state, according to the country's Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control.
Acting on a tip-off, the anti-narcotic police searched a dump truck in Tachileik township on Sept. 20 and confiscated the 254 kg of ICE and 2 kg of Ketamine with a total value of 2.049 billion kyats (about 975,714 U.S. dollars), the agency said late on Sunday, reports Xinhua.
The seized psychotropic substances were being transported from Kengtung to Tachileik, it added.
The township police filed a case against the suspect and further investigation was underway as per the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the committee said.
