An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted 92 km NE of Hirara, Japan at 0846 GMT on Saturday, reports Xinhua citing the US Geological Survey.

The epicenter, with a depth of 40.3 km, was initially determined to be at 25.28 degrees north latitude and 126.06 degrees east longitude
